BIOGRAPHY
My research focuses on developing, optimizing, and quantifying novel biomarker approaches to study a wide range of pathologies, including traumatic brain injury, mitochondrial disease, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, muscular dystrophy, vascular malformations, and airway pathologies. The overarching goal is to integrate imaging data with histological and genetic measures to enhance diagnostic, progression, and therapeutic models. Ongoing NIH-funded projects include multi-site natural history and therapeutic studies of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) in pediatric, adult, and mini-pig models, as well as imaging quantification to monitor T-cell immunotherapy effects on diffuse infiltrating pontine glioma.
